Your day will begin with an 8:00 am pick-up from your hotel in Paris in a private car heading to Lyons-la-Forêt, a picturesque village ranked among the most beautiful in France. Your driver will drop you off, giving you free time to stroll through its lovely streets, admire the timber-framed houses with pink brick, and explore the central market hall, Les Halles, where you can purchase fresh local products on market days (Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday).
Next, you will continue to Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy. Discover the magnificent Rouen Cathedral, made famous by Monet’s paintings, and the Place du Vieux-Marché, where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. You will also have time to wander around the old town, with highlights such as the Palais de Justice and the Gros-Horloge.
After lunch (not included), your excursion will continue to Les Andelys to visit Château Gaillard. This medieval castle, perched on a hilltop, offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Seine. You’ll be able to walk through the ruins and admire the surrounding scenery.
In the late afternoon, you will head back to Paris, with an expected arrival at your hotel around 6:30 pm.
